Position:  Program Director (Director of Clinical Services & Training); 70% time

This position requires prior experience in management, program planning, fundraising and fiscal management.  This person will oversee all day-to-day operations, including funding, planning for and reconciling budget, program development and evaluation, and hiring and supervision of staff and consultants.  In addition, this person will be responsible for the fiscal and organizational development functions critical to the long-term sustainability of MRI and the advancement of its mission, specifically by doing external networking and positioning of the organization.  The candidate must be skilled in outreach and marketing and know, or be willing to research, appropriate contacts in San Mateo and Santa Clara County, and be willing to travel locally.
Serving as a liaison to the MRI board of directors and its Staff Management Group (SMG), this person will work closely with the board and the SMG to develop and implement training programs, clinical services, occasional conferences and quality assurance procedures and fiscal development plans for treatment service contracts, training programs, conference development, grant-writing, preparation of program reports to funders and management of all funding contracts. 
This position requires someone who has a passion for the MRI’s mission, an interest in learning and who is energized by challenge.  This person must be committed to the growth of the MRI’s programs and professional activities. 
Qualifications: 
  • Previous experience working in management, preferably in the mental health arena. 
  • Licensed in one of the mental health fields preferred. 
  • Analytical skills, computer literacy and ability to attend to details. 
  • Well organized and a self-starter with good interpersonal skills. 
  • Must understand strategic therapy and systemically oriented therapy and have a commitment to promote these ideas.
